A Global Connection: PM Narendra Modi to Feature on Lex Fridman’s Podcast

Fridman, who announced the upcoming discussion on the social media platform X, expressed his admiration for Modi, describing him as a “fascinating human being” whose role in India’s transformation has captured global attention. “Narendra Modi is one of the most fascinating human beings I have ever studied. I can’t wait to talk to him on the podcast for several hours in a few weeks,” Fridman said, underscoring the significance of this conversation for his global audience.

Demonstrating a desire to connect with Modi on a personal level, Fridman revealed that he plans to undertake a 48-72 hour fast before the discussion—an acknowledgment of Modi’s well-documented spiritual fasts. “On top of the complex, deep history of India and his role in it, just the human side of Modi is really interesting,” Fridman remarked. “I fast often as well. So, I’ll do a 48-72 hour fast once I arrive in India before talking to him.”

This upcoming podcast is expected to further showcase Modi’s global appeal and his ability to engage with a diverse range of audiences. Known for his innovative approach to communication, Modi has effectively used various platforms to connect with people across the globe. This will be his second major podcast appearance, following his feature on People by WTF, hosted by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath.

Fridman, who will be visiting India for the first time, expressed excitement about exploring the country’s rich culture and vibrant history. “I’ve never been to India, so I’m excited to finally visit and experience many facets of its vibrant, historic culture and its amazing people as fully as I can,” he shared.

During the podcast, Modi is expected to discuss India’s significant strides in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital governance, and economic development, as well as the success of flagship initiatives like Digital India and Make in India. These topics will reflect how India has become a key player on the global stage under Modi’s leadership.

Fridman, who has previously held in-depth discussions with global icons including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed gratitude for the opportunity. “It’s a good opportunity to meditate and reflect on how lucky I am to be alive, to have this weird brain that sees beauty even in darkness, and most importantly, to appreciate the love in my life,” he remarked.

As anticipation builds, this conversation promises to provide fresh insights into Modi’s vision for India’s future, further cementing his status as a leader whose influence is felt both at home and abroad. With global intellectuals and influencers increasingly turning their gaze toward India, this podcast is set to highlight the nation’s growing prominence on the world stage under Modi’s stewardship.
