Adani Group Pledges ₹2,000 Crore for India’s Largest ‘Skill and Employ’ Initiative

This initiative is part of the ₹10,000 crore social donation recently unveiled by the Adani Group. Just a day prior, the company had pledged ₹6,000 crore towards the establishment of Adani Health Cities (AHCs) in collaboration with the US-based Mayo Clinic.

Taking to social media platform X, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced the launch of the world’s largest and most advanced finishing school in Mundra, Gujarat.

“Delighted to announce one of India’s largest Skill and Employ initiatives! In partnership with Singapore’s ITEES, the global leader in technical training, the Adani Group is launching the world’s largest finishing school in Mundra,” Adani posted.

A Revolutionary Approach to Skill Development

The state-of-the-art facility will integrate artificial intelligence-driven immersive learning with cutting-edge innovation centers, providing specialized training to over 25,000 learners annually. This ambitious project is expected to significantly bolster India’s Make in India movement by equipping young professionals with globally competitive skills.

The program will cater to fresh graduates and diploma holders with technical and vocational qualifications from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics. These students will undergo an intensive boot camp experience, preparing them for immediate employment opportunities.

The finishing schools, branded as Adani Global Skills Academy, will offer specialized training tailored to industry needs, ensuring students graduate with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their respective fields. Upon certification, students will be placed in jobs within the Adani Group and other leading industries, ensuring they are industry-ready from their very first day at work.

A Vision for Global Excellence

Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills and Education, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership:

“This initiative aligns with our commitment to India’s Make in India mission. By developing high-level technical talent, we aim to set new benchmarks in vocational and technical education, ensuring a continuous supply of skilled professionals for industries across sectors.”

ITEES Singapore will serve as the knowledge partner, bringing its expertise in skills education, academic quality assurance, certification-led learning, faculty and student exchange programs, and leadership development.

Suresh Natarajan, CEO of ITEES Singapore, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration:

“We are pleased to partner with the Adani Group in this transformative journey. Our shared vision is to enhance skill development in India, making a lasting impact on education and employment.”

With this initiative, the Adani Group aims to create a world-class workforce, supporting India’s journey toward becoming a global industrial powerhouse.(With inputs from IANS)
